Curing Rooms

Curing rooms have been ECC's expertise for over 40 years with every project being tailored to the customer's production needs and designed to fit almost any footprint!
At ECC Control Systems, our curing room solutions are engineered to optimize every step of your production process. Designed specifically for the confectionery and nutraceutical industries, our systems create the ideal environment for curing gummies, jellies, and functional supplements—reducing cure times without compromising product quality.
With over 40 years of experience, ECC has developed a proprietary airflow design that delivers precise temperature and humidity control. This allows for even curing across every tray and minimizes product variation, waste, and downtime.

What Sets ECC Curing Rooms Apart?

Accelerated Cure Times: Our advanced airflow and climate control technology significantly shortens traditional curing cycles—helping you get products to market faster.Energy-Efficient Design: Engineered for performance and sustainability, our systems reduce energy consumption while maintaining exact environmental conditions.Custom-Tailored Configurations: From standalone rooms to fully integrated, automated curing solutions, we design systems to fit your facility and scale.Reliable, Data-Driven Performance: Real-time monitoring, alarms, and customizable dashboards ensure process stability and traceability.Hygienic Construction: Built with food-grade materials and easy-to-clean surfaces to meet strict industry standards.

Frequently asked questions

What humidity tolerance can a curing room actually hold?
With chilled-water dehumidification properly sized and controlled, ECC-designed curing rooms hold within 0.5% relative humidity deviation. That compares with an industry-average tolerance closer to 4%, which is wide enough to affect chocolate bloom and panning consistency.
Why chilled water instead of a desiccant wheel system?
Desiccant wheel systems can dehumidify effectively but are harder to hold at a narrow, stable setpoint and typically cost more to run continuously. Chilled-water systems, properly designed, give tighter control and lower long-run energy cost for curing-room duty cycles.
Do you test a room before quoting equipment?
ECC will always start with a scoping call to understand the room and process. For facilities that want measured data before committing capital, ECC offers an on-site 27-sensor engineering assessment, capturing real temperature and humidity behavior rather than sizing equipment off drawings alone
Can this integrate with an existing building automation system?
ECC's curing room controls integrate with EcoStruxure and Andover Controls platforms, and can be brought into a plant-wide BAS rather than run as a standalone system.
